| Governor Kavinder Gupta calls on PM Modi in New Delhi | | |  Early Times Report NEW DELHI, Mar 30: Governor Kavinder Gupta today called on the Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi. This marked his first meeting with the Prime Minister since assuming charge as the Governor of Himachal Pradesh. During the meeting, the Governor held detailed discussions on various matters related to the development and welfare of Himachal Pradesh. He apprised the Prime Minister of several significant initiatives being implemented in the State, notably the Drug-Free Himachal Campaign and the TB-Free Himachal Campaign, aimed at improving public health and promoting social well-being. Matters concerning the RDG were also deliberated. Kavinder Gupta highlighted that Himachal Pradesh has been taking pioneering steps toward natural farming. He stressed the need to further promote and expand these initiatives to enable the hill State to fully embrace sustainable and eco-friendly agriculture, thereby ensuring long-term environmental protection and improved livelihoods for farmers. Gupta further emphasized that continued support and guidance from the Central Government would be vital in accelerating these developmental initiatives. He underscored the importance of collaborative efforts between the State and the Centre to achieve holistic growth, enhanced public welfare, and sustainable development throughout Himachal Pradesh. |
