JAMMU, Apr 1: 10th J&K UT Softball Championship 2025-26, organized by Jammu & Kashmir Sports Council, with technical support of Jammu & Kashmir Softball Association which concluded at Football Ground GGM Science, Jammu.
Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Ramesh Kumar (IAS) was the Chief Guest on the closing ceremony, while Nuzhat Gul, Secretary J&K Sports Council presided the function as Host Guest.
In Senior Men's, Jammu emerged the winner, Srinagar runners-up and the third place went to Pulwama, while in Senior Women, Pulwama claimed title, Srinagar won runners-up trophy and the third place went to Udhampur.
In Sub Junior Boys, District Srinagar clinched the title, Samba emerged runners-up and the third place was bagged by Jammu, while in Sub Junior Girls, Jammu emerged winner, Pulwama runners-up & third place won by Budgam.
In Junior Boys, Srinagar bagged the title, Samba claimed runners-up trophy and the third place went to Jammu, while in Junior Girls, Jammu bagged the title, Srinagar claimed runners-up trophy and the third place went to Kulgam.
Over 450 athletes/Officials from 14 districts of both Jammu and Kashmir Divisions participated in the Championship.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Guest congratulated Jammu & Kashmir Sports Council for organizing such a beautiful Championship in the most professional manner,
He congratulated all winning teams and boost them to excel in this softball sport and win medals for J&K as well as for the country.He also appreciated the efforts of the association for providing technical support to Sports Council for making championship success.
Later-on, the chief guest distributed Medals and Trophies among the winners, runner-up and third place holders in all categories and encouraged them for further upgrading of their sports skill in this potential sport of Softball.
The vote of thanks was given by Waseem Raja Khan, General Secretary of J&K Softball Association who extended thanks to the Chief Guest and to Sports Council for giving platform to the Athletes associated with the Sport of Softball.
