| From J&K, Ladakh to NDA: Sainik School Nagrota celebrates cadet success | | | Early Times Report NAGROTA, Apr 4: Sainik School Nagrota celebrated its Investiture Ceremony for the academic session 2026-27 with great pride and dignity. The occasion began on a proud and emotional note with the felicitation of parents of eight cadets who have joined the prestigious NDA 154 Course, bringing honour to the school and the region. Parents of Cadet Ikhlaq Hassan, Hussainin, Pranav Sharma, Aditya Kumar Singh, Prithvi Raj Sambyal, Divyansh Bhardwaj, Piyush Sharma, and Yasir Mukhtar Wani were felicitated in recognition of their sons' outstanding achievement. An incentive amount exceeding ?12 lakh, received by the school from the Ministry of Defence, was handed over to the parents as a gesture of appreciation and encouragement. The cadets selected for NDA 154 Course represent diverse regions of the Union Territories of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, reflecting the inclusive character and wide outreach of Sainik School Nagrota. Their success highlights the school's sustained contribution in nurturing young leaders from across the region and enabling their participation and representation in the Armed Forces and contributing to the larger nation-building process. The ceremony also witnessed the formal pipping of 15 newly appointed cadet leaders for the academic session 2026-27. Addressing the gathering, Principal Capt (IN) Shibu Devasia congratulated the parents of the NDA qualifiers and appreciated their guidance and support in shaping the character and determination of the cadets.
