The planning for the celebrations was carried out in a meeting on Saturday led by Ved Prakash, President of the Dogra Brahmin Sabha, with key organizational support from BJP Spokesperson and former Deputy Mayor, Advocate Purnima Sharma. Other active participants included respectable prominent personality Smt Amita Sharma, women ex-corporators from various wards, and several senior women members from local organizations, retired teachers, and Sansthan Parmukh representatives, who provided valuable suggestions to ensure that the celebrations are inclusive, well-coordinated, and meaningful. During the meeting, special emphasis was laid on women's active participation in organizing the Shobha Yatra, ensuring its smooth execution and wide community engagement. Participants discussed ways to enhance safety, coordination, and visibility of women volunteers during the Yatra. Speaking on the occasion, Ved Prakash, President of the Dogra Brahmin Sabha, expressed confidence that the celebrations would unite the community, promote cultural heritage, and serve as a platform for the youth to learn and participate actively in community life. He added that the support of women, local organizations, and community members is central to the successful conduct of the programmes and reflects the Sabha's inclusive and people-oriented approach. On the occasion, Advocate Purnima Sharma stated, "The involvement of women is crucial for the success of the Shobha Yatra. The celebrations will feature a series of educational, cultural, and service-oriented programmes spread over several days. Student competitions focused on the life and teachings of Bhagwan Parshuram will engage the younger generation and help instill his values and principles. As part of the Parshuram Jayanti celebrations, the Dogra Brahmin Sabha has organized a medical camp on April 12, offering free health services to the community. The camp will be attended by renowned specialists, including Dr. Sushil Sharma, HoD Cardiology, Super Speciality Hospital, and Dr. Rakesh Sharma, Orthopaedics, reflecting the Sabha's commitment to public welfare and community health. Continuing the celebrations, April 15 will witness student competitions and cultural activities designed to engage the youth and showcase their talents.
