GDC Ramnagar NCC Unit felicitates senior cadets; holds rank ceremony

RAMNAGAR, Apr 4: The NCC Unit of Government Degree College (GDC) Ramnagar organised a felicitation ceremony to honour senior NCC cadets for their exemplary contributions, along with a formal Rank Ceremony for newly appointed cadets. The event was conducted under the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Bhavnaish Chand, Principal, GDC Ramnagar.
The programme commenced with a warm Welcome Address by Lt. Dr. Puyesh Kant Sharma, Associate NCC Officer (ANO), GDC Ramnagar, who highlighted the significance of discipline, leadership, and service in NCC training.
During the Rank Ceremony, the following cadets were decorated with new ranks for their outstanding performance and leadership potential:
Cadet Nitin Kumar - Senior Under Officer (SUO)
Cadet Kamesh Khajuria - Under Officer (UO)
Cadet Arun Singh - Sergeant
Cadet Atul Singh - Corporal
The programme also honoured senior NCC cadets for their remarkable achievements and dedication:
-SUO Rishav Bandral, felicitated for carrying out NCC responsibilities with sincerity and commitment.
-UO Rahul Kumar, recognised for his participation in the Thal Sainik Camp (TSC) 2025.
-Cadet Suryavansh Jamwal, honoured for representing the institution at the Republic Day Parade Camp (RDPC) 2026.
Addressing the gathering, Prof. (Dr.) Bhavnaish Chand, Principal, GDC Ramnagar, delivered an insightful and inspiring speech on the vital role of NCC in shaping disciplined, responsible, and service-oriented youth. He appreciated the efforts of the ANO, cadets, and the entire NCC wing for maintaining high standards of training and performance.
The event concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks by Prof. Eisha Gohil, who expressed gratitude to the NCC Advisory Committee, faculty members, and all participants for making the programme a success.
