Tarun Uppal flags off J&K U-19 Tennis Cricket Teams for National Championship in Lucknow

JAMMU, Apr 4: The Jammu & Kashmir U-19 Tennis Cricket Teams set to compete at the National Tennis Cricket Championship from 5th to 8th April in Lucknow were officially launched at a ceremony in Jammu.
The flag-off event took place at Makoons Pre School, Talab Tillo, Jammu, where Mr. Tarun Uppal, Founder & Chairman of Nirbhay Bharat Foundation, and Mr. Abhishek Luthra, CEO of Makoons Pre School, encouraged and wished the young athletes success as they prepared to represent Jammu & Kashmir on the national stage.
During the ceremony, the dignitaries handed out team jerseys to the players, marking the beginning of their exciting journey to the championship. Mr. Tarun Uppal addressed the gathering, highlighting the vital role sports play in empowering youth and steering them away from negative influences like drugs. He urged the players to remain focused, disciplined, and dedicated to their passion for Tennis Cricket.
Tarun Uppal said: "Sports not only build character but also open doors to brighter futures. I applaud the J&K Tennis Cricket Association for nurturing young talent and giving these players a platform to shine nationally. To all our athletes, play with passion and represent Jammu & Kashmir with pride."
This year, Jammu & Kashmir proudly sends two U-19 teams to the championship:
Team Jammu Capitals - coached by Ajay Kumar and managed by Garima. Key players include Captain Raghav, Vice-Captain Krishna, and a committed squad ready to compete fiercely.
Team J&K - under Coach Sunil Kumar and managed by Ishika Jandiyal, led by Captain Nitin and Vice-Captain Sharon, assembled to showcase their skills and sportsmanship.
The National Tennis Cricket Championship, organized by the J&K Tennis Cricket Association, offers a prestigious platform where young athletes from across India compete, fostering camaraderie and sporting excellence.
As the teams prepare to depart for Lucknow, the entire community extends its heartfelt support and best wishes. With talent, teamwork, and determination, these young players aim to bring glory to Jammu & Kashmir.
