BHSS Rajouri hosts series of competitions on Day 2

RAJOURI, Apr 9: The School Education Department successfully conducted Day-2 of the 3-Day Divisional Level Awareness Programme at Boys Higher Secondary School Rajouri, as part of an initiative aimed at promoting awareness on vital social themes including Mental Health, Drug De-addiction, Career Counselling, Traffic Awareness and Environmental Protection.
The programme was organized under the supervision of the Chief Education Officer Mohammad Hafeez and witnessed enthusiastic participation from students of various Higher Secondary Schools across the district.
Painting and Essay Writing competitions on the allotted themes were conducted separately. These events were evaluated by an experienced jury comprising Mohammad Gafoor, Shakti Gupta, Vikrant Gupta and Sajjad Ahmed Mir, who appreciated the creativity and awareness reflected in the students' work.
The Quiz Competition, the highlight of the day, was conducted in an innovative and engaging manner by Mohammad Ayaz Raina, who effectively utilized smart technology to enhance interaction and learning. Madhu Gupta efficiently maintained the score sheet, ensuring transparency and accuracy. A total of eight teams participated enthusiastically in the quiz, showcasing commendable knowledge and team spirit.
The programme concluded with a grand prize distribution ceremony, attended by ARTO Rajesh Gupta; DEPO Sardari Lal; Host School Principal Mohammad Muslim Wani and Senior Lecturer Fazal Chouhan along with faculty members and escort teachers.
Mohammad Arshad from GHSS Dangri secured first position in Painting, while Kashish Sharma from GHSS Chingus and Dadya Zahoor from GHSS Manjakote secured second and third positions, respectively. In Essay Writing, Sana Fatima from GHSS Dangri secured first position, while Aradhana Sharma from GHSS Chingus and Riya Sharma from Girls GHSS Rajouri secured second and third positions, respectively. In the Quiz Competition (team event), GHSS Dhandkote secured first position, followed by GHSS Saaj in second place and Girls GHSS Rajouri in third place.
