Sunil Kumar Toura assumes charge as officer-in-charge of EPFO Regional Office Srinagar

JAMMU, Apr 9: Sunil Kumar Toura, Regional Provident Fund Commissioner-II, has assumed charge as Officer-in-Charge (OIC) of the Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO), Regional Office Srinagar.
An accomplished officer with extensive administrative experience, Shri Toura has served in various capacities across multiple EPFO offices during his tenure, including at the Head Office, where he contributed sincere efforts under the valuable guidance of higher authorities in implementation of FAT, CPPS etc in pension section.
Sumeet Singh, Regional Provident Fund Commissioner-I and Shri Naresh Kumar Yadav, Regional Provident Fund Commissioner-II, formally welcomed Sunil Kumar Toura to the Regional Office Srinagar and expressed confidence that his leadership would further strengthen service delivery and institutional performance.
The EPFO Regional Office Srinagar currently caters to approximately 14,600 establishments and maintains nearly 1,82,000 Provident Fund accounts, underscoring its vital role in delivering social security services in the region.
Upon assuming charge, Toura articulated a comprehensive vision for the Regional Office, focusing on the following key areas:
Enhancement of Citizen-Centric Services: He emphasized the need to ensure timely, efficient, and hassle-free delivery of services to all stakeholders, particularly subscribers, pensioners, and beneficiaries. Special focus will be placed on expediting claim settlements, with utmost sensitivity in handling death cases to provide prompt relief to affected families.
Improvement in Transparency and Accountability: Toura stressed strengthening internal systems to promote transparency in operations and decision-making. He highlighted the importance of adherence to timelines, regular monitoring of pendency, and accountability at all levels to build greater trust among stakeholders.
Promotion of Grievance Redressal Mechanisms: Encouraging proactive engagement, he urged all stakeholders to come forward with their grievances and assured that the office would adopt a responsive and empathetic approach, particularly in sensitive matters.
Encouragement of Social Security Coverage: Toura called upon all establishments to enroll under the PMVBRY scheme and avail its benefits, thereby contributing to the expansion of social security net and financial protection for workers.
Fostering Innovation and Excellence: He emphasized cultivating a progressive work culture driven by innovation, continuous improvement, and capacity building of staff, with the ultimate goal of achieving excellence in public service delivery.
Reiterating his commitment, Toura expressed his resolve to transform the Regional Office Srinagar into one of the best-performing EPFO offices in the country through collective effort and stakeholder cooperation.
