JAMMU, Apr 10: Humanity Public School celebrated its 45th Foundation Day with great enthusiasm and zeal. The programme began with a floral tribute to the Late Chairman, Capt. Varinder Kumar (IT Incharge) and Mahan Singh (Sports Incharge).
Founded in 1981 by Capt. Gandhrab Singh Charak and Meera Charak, the school was established with the vision of imparting education rooted in traditional values while encouraging innovation and exposure so that students grow into ethical and responsible citizens. Over the years, it has grown from humble beginnings into an institution catering to learners from nursery to twelfth standard.
The event continued with soulful poem recitations by Seerat (Class 5th), Namita (Class 3rd), and Ipshita (Class 4th), setting a warm and inspiring tone. This was followed by a thoughtful topic presented by Ashwik of Class 11th.
Primary teacher Badushi then addressed the gathering, speaking on the importance of values, discipline, and hard work in shaping young minds. She emphasized how the foundation years in school play a crucial role in building character and nurturing confidence, urging students to respect their teachers, support one another, and take pride in their school.
Adding colours to the celebration, students of Class 5th presented a musical performance under the guidance of Music teachers Rajan and Kumar Abhilash, which was well received by the audience. This was followed by a lively dance performance by students of Classes 6th and 7th under the guidance of dance teacher Kartik Sharma. The students captivated the audience with their graceful moves, colourful costumes, and perfect synchronization. The energetic presentation, set to a blend of traditional and contemporary music, drew loud applause and added a festive charm to the occasion.
A melodious flute performance by Raghav, Pranav, and Kushal of Class 9th was particularly appreciated for its soothing tunes and skilful rendition.
The entire programme was ably hosted by Vivek of Class 11th who kept the audience engaged throughout the programme.
In his concluding address, Principal Gaurav Charak expressed his pride in the students' performances and appreciated the efforts of teachers and incharges in organizing the event. He reflected on the school's 44-year journey, its achievements, and the values that guide it, urging students to uphold discipline, creativity and a spirit of service.
