SSP Reasi holds introductory meeting with supervisory officers and SHOs at DPL Reasi

REASI, Apr 10: Senior Superintendent of Police, Reasi, Mukund Tibrewal, IPS, today chaired an introductory meeting with all supervisory officers and Station House Officers at the Conference Hall, District Police Lines (DPL), Reasi. In addition, In-Charges of Police Posts participated in the meeting through virtual mode. During the interaction, SSP Reasi laid emphasis on the upcoming special 100 days Nasha Mukti Abhiyan. He directed officers to identify and facilitate rehabilitation of drug victims, take strict action against drug peddlers, and initiate property attachment proceedings under Chapter V of the NDPS Act.
He further instructed that all CCTNS forms (IIF-1 to IIF-V) be completed and updated within prescribed timelines to ensure accurate and real-time data management. Stressing the implementation of the new criminal laws, SSP directed Investigating Officers to adhere strictly to the 60-90 day timelines, initiate property attachment under Section 107 of BNSS, and ensure that absconders are tried in absentia as per law.
Addressing the issue of bovine smuggling, SSP Reasi issued firm directions to intensify checking, strengthen nakas, and take strict legal action against offenders.
Special emphasis was also laid on the security of vital religious and strategic installations. He directed effective utilization of VDGs and conduct of regular area domination through Long Range Patrols (LRPs) by SOG/SPP.
SSP Reasi further instructed all SHOs to maintain close coordination with Village Defence Guards (VDGs), ensure their regular training and firing practice, and closely monitor their functioning to enhance security and vigilance in far-flung areas. The importance of the ERSS system was also highlighted, with directions to improve response time and ensure prompt assistance to the public.
The meeting concluded with SSP Reasi urging all officers to work with dedication, uphold public trust, and ensure proactive and people-friendly policing across the district.
