Early Times Report JAMMU, Apr 14: The National Incredible Literacy Mission (NILM), Jammu, today celebrated the birth anniversary of Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar at its Project Centre located in Ganga Nagar Bantalab with great enthusiasm and reverence. The programme began with floral tributes to Dr. Ambedkar, followed by awareness activities highlighting his life, values, and contributions to the nation. Students and staff participated actively and paid homage to the architect of the Indian Constitution. Speaking on the occasion, Kavita Bali, Secretary NILM Jammu, highlighted the importance of Dr. Ambedkar's vision of equality, education, and social justice. She urged the students to adopt his ideals in their lives and contribute towards building an inclusive and progressive society. She further added that education is the most powerful tool for empowerment, a principle strongly advocated by Dr. Ambedkar. Students also expressed their thoughts and shared insights into the life and achievements of Dr. Ambedkar, remembering his remarkable contribution to social reform and nation-building. Among others, NILM officials who attended the programme included Tania Dogra and Priyanka Sharma. The programme concluded with a pledge by participants to uphold the values of equality, fraternity, and education in their daily lives. |
