Samba police arrests 2 drug peddlers with 9.88 grams heroin like substance 4/17/2026 11:20:15 PM Early Times Report SAMBA, Apr 17: Continuing its drive against drug smugglers/peddlers, Samba Police has arrested two drug peddlers in the jurisdiction of Police Station Vijaypur and recovered approximately 9.88 grams heroin-like substance (Chitta) from their possession. A Police team of Police Station Vijaypur during checking near AIIMS residence complex Vijaypur, intercepted a scooty bearing registration No. JK02DG-7498 which was coming from Rakh Barotian side. During checking, approximately 9.88 grams of heroin-like substance (Chitta) was recovered from the possession rider and pillion rider. The drug peddlers identified as Sahil Kumar S/o Raj Kumar and Vikas Kumar S/o Tarsem Lal both resident of village Karawda tehsil Bhalwal district Jammu have been arrested. The contraband item alongwith vehicle has also been seized.
