PATHANKOT, Apr 21: With the objective of sharing new techniques in the fields of modern medicine and surgery, a special medical conference was organized by S.K.R. Hospital at a local hotel in Pathankot. During this significant event, detailed discussions were held regarding the pursuit of excellence in knee replacement surgery. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Krishna Kumar, Managing Director of S.K.R. Hospital, stated that this was the first conference of its kind to be held in the Pathankot region focusing on the subjects of arthroplasty and robotic surgery. This initiative has not only brought a new identity to the hospital but also to the entire city of Pathankot within the medical sphere. Over 150 doctors and specialists from various cities across Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, and Jammu & Kashmir participated in this grand medical summit. Dr. H.S. Sohal from the Government Medical College (Amritsar) attended the event as the Chief Guest and shared his valuable insights regarding the medical field with the audience. Prominent specialists-including Dr. Rajesh Kumar (Amritsar), Dr. Varun Joshi (Jalandhar), Dr. Jaspal Singh (Amritsar), Dr. Vikas Padah (Katra), and Dr. Vyas Dev (Jammu)-were specially present on this occasion. During the conference, all the doctors shared their respective experiences, and in-depth discussions were held on how to better serve patients in the field. Additionally, the event shed light on ongoing new research and modern techniques within medical science. Dr. Krishna Kumar noted that, through this platform, senior and experienced surgeons shared their years of expertise with young doctors who have recently embarked on their medical careers.
