Mohali, Apr 30: Hon’ble Shri J. P. Nadda, Union Minister for Chemicals & Fertilizers and Health & Family Welfare, will visit National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, Mohali, on May 01, 2026 (Friday). The Hon’ble Minister will arrive at the NIPER Convention Centre at 11.30 AM. He will be accompanied by Shri Manoj Joshi, Secretary, Department of Pharmaceuticals (DoP), Govt. of India. This will be followed by a Board Room meeting at 11:35 AM, during which the Director, NIPER, Mohali, Prof. Dulal Panda will present the institute’s vision, key performance indicators (KPIs), and strategic roadmap in the presence of senior officials and faculty members. The presentation will also highlight major initiatives including Centres of Excellence such as COE-AVAB and COE-Biopharmaceuticals, along with the institute’s innovation ecosystem and licensing opportunities. After that, Hon’ble Minister will also address the gathering. It will be followed by Technology Showcase at Foyer of the Convention Centre at 12:10 PM where Hon’ble Minister will visit the featuring poster and prototype exhibitions of translational research outcomes. The showcase will also include presentations on industry collaborations, patents, and clinical trial initiatives undertaken by NIPER. This will be followed by inauguration of NIPER Medicinal Succulents Garden at 12:30 PM by Hon’ble Minister. Hon’ble Minister will also take a tour of NIPER’s state-of-the-art research facilities and interact with students at 12:45 PM. This visit underscores the Government’s continued commitment to strengthening pharmaceutical education, fostering innovation, and advancing research and development in the biopharmaceutical sector. |
