Indian Army conducts Yoga camp for youth

DODA, May 4: Yoga has emerged as one of the most trusted means to enhance physical and mental well-being. Regular practice of yoga also helps alleviate chronic pain and improves posture. To promote the benefits of yoga, the Indian Army organized a Yoga Camp for youth at Gei on 04 May 2026. People from all walks of life were invited to participate in the event, performing various yoga exercises, asanas and pranayama. A total of 60 youth participated enthusiastically in the event. The Yoga Camp featured sessions designed to cater to both beginners and experienced practitioners. Participants engaged in a variety of yoga practices aimed at improving flexibility, strength, mental clarity and relaxation. The camp was conducted by qualified Army Yoga instructors. The session was followed by an interactive discussion between the participants and representatives of the Indian Army, during which the various health benefits of yoga were highlighted. The instructors emphasized that yoga embodies the unity of mind, body, thought and action, fostering harmony between humans and nature while promoting a holistic approach to health and well-being. The local populace expressed gratitude to the Indian Army for organizing such an event, stating that it would go a long way in encouraging a healthy lifestyle and promoting inner peace among the youth and the community.
