Early Times Report
UDHAMPUR, May 4: FICCI FLO Jammu, Kashmir & Ladakh Chapter (FLO JKL), under the leadership of Chairperson Ms. Varsha Bansal, conducted an engaging and insightful session for the Army Women's Welfare Association (AWWA) at Northern Command Udhampur, further strengthening its commitment to women's empowerment and entrepreneurship. FLO JKL has been closely associated with AWWA under the leadership of Mrs. Shinei Sharma, Regional President, AWWA Northern Command, working collaboratively to support and uplift Army spouses through meaningful initiatives.
The session featured two accomplished women entrepreneurs. Ms. Varuna Anand, National Initiative Head for Textile, Handlooms and Handicrafts at FICCI FLO, shared her inspiring journey of building The Splendor of Kashmir. She elaborated on her distinctive module of selling through curated stand-alone exhibitions alongside a strong digital presence, where social media has played a transformative role in brand building. With a community of over 3.5 lakh followers on Facebook and 47,000 on Instagram, she highlighted how strategic storytelling, consistent engagement, and authenticity have enabled her to scale her enterprise while preserving the rich legacy of Kashmiri craftsmanship. Her address encouraged women to recognise their strengths and translate their passions into sustainable and scalable enterprises.
The second speaker, Ms. Nimisha Dubey, spoke about her venture Artistic Fanatic, which she launched during the COVID-19 pandemic. She shared how she leveraged digital platforms and social media to build brand visibility, expand her market reach, and successfully take her products beyond domestic boundaries to international audiences. Her journey stood as a testament to resilience, adaptability, and the growing power of digital entrepreneurship.
