Early Times Report DODA, May 6: The three-day training programme for Field Trainers under Census 2027 concluded today at the VC Hall, DC Office Complex Doda. The initiative marked the first phase of capacity building aimed at preparing over 500 Field Trainers for the upcoming House Listing and Housing Census, ensuring systematic, uniform and efficient data collection across the district. The training programme was conducted under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner Krishan Lal, who is also the Principal Census Officer. It was supervised by ADC Anil Kumar Thakur, District Census Officer and ACR Ashraf Pervez, Nodal Officer Census. Today's concluding session was chaired by ACR Ashraf Pervez, who reviewed the overall progress and highlighted the critical role of field trainers in ensuring the credibility of census data. District Statistics and Evaluation Officer (Additional District Census Officer) along with District Coordinator from Directorate of Census Operations( DCO), ensured smooth coordination throughout the programme. Master Trainers Dr. Akhter Hussain and Ramesh Kumar imparted detailed training to the trainees on enumeration procedures, household listing formats, use of digital tools and adherence to census guidelines to maintain accuracy and consistency in data collection. The training also covered key aspects such as confidentiality of data, effective field communication, handling of challenging terrain and remote areas, real-time error checking and the importance of inclusive data capturing covering all sections of society. Emphasis was laid on transparency, accountability and timely submission of data, which are vital for evidence-based policy formulation, resource allocation and developmental planning. The programme is expected to significantly strengthen grassroots-level data systems and contribute to the successful and credible conduct of Census 2027. |
