| Samba police seizes vehicle loaded with stolen ‘Khair’ wooden logs | | | Early Times Report
SAMBA, May 6: Samba Police has seized a vehicle loaded with stolen Khair wooden logs in the jurisdiction of Police Station Samba which were being transported illegally without any valid permission.
Acting on information received from reliable sources regarding transportation of stolen Khair wooden logs by some unknown person(s), a team of Police Post Goran of PS Samba laid a naka near Sumb and successfully intercepted a Mahindra Load Carrier bearing registration No. JK21B-1746 which was on its way towards Samba from Khabal.
During checking, the vehicle was found carrying a consignment of Khair wooden logs that had been stolen and were being transported illegally without any valid documents or authorization. The vehicle along with the wooden logs has been seized on the spot by the Police.
A case FIR No. 108/2026 u/s 303(2) BNS, 26 Indian Forest Act has been registered at Police Station Samba and investigation started. |
