Early Times Report JAMMU, May 7: The Law School, University of Jammu, under the guidance of Director Prof. Seema Rohmetra, today organised a special lecture on the Specific Relief Act, 1963. Shivani Jalali Pandita graced the occasion as the Resource Person. During her lecture, Ms. Jalali Pandita elaborated on the principles of specific performance, injunctions and declaratory decrees under the Specific Relief Act, 1963. She emphasised the practical relevance of equitable remedies in commercial litigation and encouraged students to develop analytical skills through case-based learning. Jalali Pandita also interacted with students during a case analysis competition and shared valuable insights to help them strengthen their legal reasoning skills. She further felicitated the winning team comprising Danish Bashir, Sabreena, Shariqa, Salman Wani, Nabhit, Abhijay, Yuvraj and Adeel. Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Seema Rohmetra appreciated the initiative and stressed the importance of experiential learning in legal education. The programme concluded with a formal vote of thanks presented by Dr. Kartika Bakshi. |
