Carmel Convent School, FIBDO & FICCI FLO JKL unite for noble Blood Donation Camp

JAMMU, May 7: Carmel Convent School, Jammu, in collaboration with the Federation of Indian Blood Donor Organisations (FIBDO) and FICCI FLO Jammu, Kashmir & Ladakh (FLO JKL), successfully organized a Blood Donation Camp within the school premises today on the eve of World Red Cross Day. The initiative reflected a strong commitment towards humanitarian service, community welfare, and the spirit of giving.
The camp was graced by the presence of Chief Guest Shri Sher Singh (JKAS), Additional Development Commissioner, Jammu, who appreciated the institution and collaborating organizations for promoting awareness about the importance of voluntary blood donation and encouraging collective social responsibility. Also present on the occasion as special invitee was Ms. Preeti Sharma JKAS, Joint registrar Cooperatives.
FICCI FLO JKL joined the initiative in support of this noble cause and was represented by Aarti Chowdhary, Immediate Past Chairperson, FLO JKL, and Varuna Anand, National Initiative Head, Textiles, Handlooms and Handicrafts, FICCI FLO. The initiative witnessed enthusiastic participation from faculty members and parents, many of whom came forward to donate blood and contribute towards saving lives.
Speaking on the occasion, School Principal Sr. Maria Suzette AC said, "Blood donation is one of the most meaningful acts of service towards humanity. Through this initiative, we hope to inspire our students to grow into socially responsible individuals who understand the value of helping others."
FIBDO was represented by Mr. Vikrant Dogra, National Vice President, FIBDO.
Organized in association with FIBDO and supported by FICCI FLO JKL, the camp was conducted following all necessary medical and safety protocols. Guided by the message "Give Blood, Save Life," the initiative reaffirmed the shared commitment of the collaborating organizations towards building a healthier and more compassionate society.
