UDHAMPUR, May 8: Udhampur Police continued its sustained drive against drug menace under the Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyaan, reaffirming its commitment to eradicate drug abuse and safeguard the youth.
During routine checking, Udhampur Police arrested two persons in separate incidents and recovered heroin from their possession.
In the first case, *Mohd Farooq S/o Babu Hussain R/o Balli, Tehsil & District Udhampur was apprehended and during his personal search, 13 grams heroin was recovered from his possession.
In this regard, FIR No. 193/2026 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act stands registered.
In the second case, *Swayam Sharma S/o Sanjay Kumar R/o Karan Nagar, Tehsil & District Udhampur was apprehended and during his personal search, 2.43 grams heroin was recovered from his possession.
In this regard, FIR No. 194/2026 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act stands registered. Further investigation in both cases is underway. |
