UDHAMPUR, May 8: Continuing its sustained crackdown against drug trafficking under the Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyaan Udhampur Police apprehended two drug peddlers and recovered heroin from their possession at Battal Naka, Majalta.
During naka checking at Battal Naka, Majalta, intercepted a scooty bearing registration No. JK01AR-1038 coming from Mansar side and recovered 20.94 grams of heroin from two persons riding the vehicle.
The accused were identified as Mohd Mohsin S/o Abdul Qayoom R/o Bohri Kadal, Srinagar and Mohd Raqib S/o Abdul Salam Dar R/o Rajouri Kadal, Srinagar.
During personal search, 10.65 grams and 10.29 grams of heroine were recovered from their possession.
Both accused were arrested and the scooty was seized.
In this regard, FIR No. 65/2026 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at PS Majalta and investigation is underway. |
