JAMMU, May 8: Continuing his commitment towards strengthening civic infrastructure and improving public amenities across the Bahu constituency, MLA Bahu Ch. Vikram Randhawa today inaugurated the construction and upgradation of various lanes and drains in Ward No. 50, Channi Himmat, being undertaken under the Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) at an estimated cost of ?57 lakhs.
The programme was attended by District General Secretary Kulveer Charak, Mandal President Nitish Mahajan along with his team, senior party workers, including Ex Corporator Neena Gupta and a large number of local residents, officials from JMC including the concerned JE, and the contractor executing the work.
Speaking on the occasion, the MLA said that strengthening basic infrastructure and ensuring better civic amenities for the people remains his top priority. He stated that the upgradation of lanes and drains will provide major relief to residents and further enhance the overall development of the area.
MLA Vikram Randhawa instructed the concerned JE and contractor to ensure high-quality work, proper use of material, and timely completion of the project so that the public gets long-term benefits without inconvenience.
Local residents expressed gratitude to the MLA for continuously taking up developmental works and addressing public issues on priority basis under JMC.
