| Sampark Sabha held with Gujjar Community under Nasha Mukta Abhiyan at Bishnah | | | Early Times Report BISHNAH, May 8: In a significant move to strengthen the police-public bond and foster community development, a high-level public outreach meeting was organized today in Khairi Village. The event was primarily addressed by the SSP Jammu Shri Joginder Singh alongside the SP Headquarters focusing on the socio-economic upliftment and security of the Gujjar community. The meeting saw active participation from local elders, youth, and prominent members of the community. Also in attendance were SDPO R.S. Pura and SHO Bishnah, ensuring a comprehensive dialogue between the law enforcement leadership and the grassroots residents. The community was urged by honble SSP Jammu to act as the "eyes and ears" of the police to eradicate the narco-trade. He emphasized that staying away from drugs is not just a personal choice but a collective responsibility to save the future of the youth. SP headquarters laid emphasis on the role of Mothers in monitoring children against drug abuse. She made a plea to the parents and young children of the Gujjar community to ensure that every child-with a specific focus on girl children-is sent to school. Education was highlighted as the only sustainable tool for long-term empowerment. To steer the youth away from negative influences, the officers underscored the importance of sports. They encouraged the local youth to participate in athletic activities to maintain physical health and discipline. The community members appreciated the police department's initiative to reach out to them directly. The SSP assured the villagers that the police are committed to their safety and well-being, promising that such interactions will become a regular feature to resolve local grievances promptly.
