ASN School holds Investiture Ceremony of Student Council

JAMMU, May 9: A.S.N. Hr. Sec. School, Channi Himmat, Jammu today hold Investiture Ceremony of Elected Student Council Members for the Session 2026-27 and Felicitation Ceremony of Merit Holders in 12th Class Board Examinations inside the school auditorium. Deepak Dubey JKAS, Joint Director Information, Jammu was the chief guest while Dr Jagmeet Kaur Bali, Chairperson All J&K Sikh Minority Employees Association was the Special Invitee where as Jai Lal Sharma, H C Vaid, Ashok Khajuria and Prof. Anil Kumar Raina graced as Guests of Honour.
The function started with National Anthem followed by bouquet presentation and lighting of ceremonial lamp. Various cultural items were also presented by the cultural group of the school.
Ritesh Kapoor, Director of the School presented the Welcome address and informed in detail about the student council elections. He said A.S.N. school acknowledges the budding young leaders and repose the trust in them. It takes practice, it takes commitment and it takes great determination. He added that A.S.N. school aims at awakening the consciousness of the pupils about dignity and right of every person. We all together as guardians, teachers and students promote the development of knowledge and skills to be resourceful for oneself and the society.
The Student Council Members were felicitated by the Guests with Sachets and Certificates followed by the Oath taken by the Council Members. The elected team is Raqib Talib of 12th Class as Head Boy, Parinidhi Singh of 10th Class as Head Girl, Radhesh Singh Chib of 9th Class as Dy Head Boy, Lavanya Kapoor of 9th Class as Dy. Head Girl, Tarun Kumar of 12th Class as Boys Sports Captain, Azmat Chowdhary of 10th Class as Girls Sports Captain, Arvind Kumar of 9th Class as Captain Air House, Kriti Thakur of 6th Class as Vice-Captain Air House, Shahroz Bano of 10th Class as Captain Fire House, Safoora Anjam of 7th Class as Vice-Captain Fire House, Zoya Khan of 8th Class as Captain Earth House, Gandivay Singh Charak of 6th Class as Vice-Captain Earth House, Ayaan Ashiq of 8th Class as Captain Water House and Vaishnavi Pandey of 6th Class as Vice-Captain Water House.
