JAMMU, May 9: R.N. Tagore Higher Secondary School, Sector-8, Nanak Nagar, Jammu, celebrated its 44th Foundation Day along with the Investiture Ceremony in a grand and dignified manner on the school campus. The occasion was marked with immense zeal, cultural vibrance, and a spirit of leadership.
The prestigious event was graced by Chief Guest Sh. Munish Gupta, Editor-in-Chief of Early Times Newspaper and Vice-President, J&K Sports Speed Ball Association. The Guests of Honour were Sh. Kuldeep Sharma Ji, Deputy Secretary JKBOSE, and Smt. Seema Sharma, Deputy Secretary JKBOSE. The event was further honoured by the presence of Special Guest Sh. Sunny Nanda, General Secretary, Raffa Boules India Federation.
The programme commenced with a warm welcome to the distinguished guests followed by the traditional lighting of the ceremonial lamp, symbolizing the triumph of knowledge over ignorance. A heartfelt Shradhanjali was paid to the revered founders of the institution, Late Sh. Mulkh Raj Gupta Ji and Late Smt. Vishno Devi Ji, whose vision and dedication laid the strong foundation of the school.
Students from Classes 6th to 12th presented colourful and mesmerizing cultural performances including patriotic songs, dances, and motivational presentations, which enthralled the audience and reflected the rich talent of the students.
A major highlight of the day was the Investiture Ceremony, where young leaders were entrusted with responsibilities for the academic session. The newly elected student council members pledged to uphold discipline, sincerity, and commitment towards the school.

The Chief Guest and other dignitaries appreciated the management, staff, and students for organizing such a magnificent event and encouraged students to excel in academics, sports, and co-curricular activities.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks and the National Anthem. The celebration left everyone inspired and proud of the school's rich legacy and bright future.
