Early Times Report MANDI GOBINDGARH, May 14: Desh Bhagat University students have brought pride and glory to the institution with an outstanding performance at the AIU Gatka Championship held at University of Kota (Rajasthan). The university's talented athletes showcased remarkable dedication, discipline, and sportsmanship, securing a total of 11 bronze medals in various categories. The Women's Gatka Team excelled in the Single Soti category and won the Bronze Medal for the university. The team members included Sonam Bishnoi (BPES), Amanpreet Kaur (MCAI), and Kalpana (PG Yoga), who demonstrated exceptional skill and teamwork throughout the championship. In the Men's Gatka Full Strike (Fari Soti) category, the Bronze Medal was secured by Arman (PG Yoga), Ranjeet Bath (PG Yoga), Kishna Ram (PG Yoga), and Mahipal Roz (PG Yoga). Adding to the university's achievements, the Men's Single Soti Full Strike team also claimed the Bronze Medal. The medal winners in this category were Parveen Kumar (PG Yoga), Ravindra (PG Yoga), Sunil Kumar (BPES), and Vikash (BPES).
