Early Times Report POONCH, May 15: As part of the ongoing Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, the Indian Army organised awareness activities at Government High School, Lower Kasbalari and Government High School, JWG, Poonch, on 14 May 2026. At Government High School, Lower Kasbalari, a Poster and Painting Competition was conducted to sensitise students about the harmful effects of substance abuse. Students participated with enthusiasm and expressed their creativity through impactful posters carrying strong anti-drug messages. Army officials addressed the gathering and motivated students to remain focused on education, sports and positive life choices. At Government High School, JWG, a Tree Plantation Drive was organised to promote environmental conservation along with awareness on leading a healthy and drug-free life. Army personnel, school staff and students actively planted saplings within the school premises, spreading the message of "Green Environment, Healthy Society." Both events witnessed active participation from students and staff, who appreciated the initiative. The programmes concluded with a collective pledge to support the mission of a drug-free society and contribute towards building a healthier, greener and stronger nation. |
