Early Times Report SAMBA, May 15: As part of ongoing Nasha Mukt Jammu and Kashmir Abhiyan, Samba Police today organized anti-drug awareness programme at Govt. Higher Secondary School Ghagwal which witnessed enthusiastic participation from large numbers of students and staff members of the school. During the session, the Police Officers delivered informative lectures highlighting the physical, mental and social consequences of substance abuse. Speaking on the occasion, the officers reiterated that Samba Police is committed to eradicating the drug menace from the district by taking strict legal action against drug smugglers and suppliers. During the interaction, Police Officers urged the students to stay away from narcotics substances and actively contribute towards building a drug-free society. Additionally, the participants were also made aware about the three New Criminal Laws implemented across the country since July 2024-highlighting their significance and key provisions. The initiative of J&K Police in raising awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse was widely appreciated by the school management and all the attendees. |
