Early Times Report KATRA, May 15: A high-level crime review meeting was conducted today at the Conference Hall of Police Station Katra. The meeting was chaired by the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Reasi, Sh. Mukund Tibrewal, IPS and was attended by SP Katra Sh. Kameshwar Puri, JKPS, SDPO Katra Sh. Bhishm Dubey, JKPS, SHO Katra Sh. Ranjeet Rao, In-Charge Police Post (ICPP) Kakryal, ICPP Banganga, and other Investigating and Enquiry Officers (IOs/EOs). The meeting laid special focus on the time-bound disposal of special reported cases on merit, alongside accelerating the resolution of pending inquest proceedings and missing person reports. Supervisory officers and SHO Katra were strictly directed to intensify efforts to trace and apprehend absconders. Aligning with the ongoing "100-Day Nasha Mukt Abhiyan" launched by the Honorable Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir UT, SSP Reasi issued stringent directives to combat the drug menace. The SSP ordered the registration of cases under relevant legal sections, emphasizing the aggressive use of preventive detentions under the PIT-NDPS Act and the attachment of properties belonging to drug peddlers. |
