Early Times Report JAMMU, May 15: Bhim Sen Tuti, IPS, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Jammu Zone, chaired a high-level crime review meeting today at the District Police Lines (DPL) Jammu. The session was attended by all jurisdictional Superintendents of Police (SPs), Sub-Divisional Police Officers (SDPOs), and Station House Officers (SHOs) of the district. During the meeting, IGP Jammu conducted a meticulous evaluation of the prevailing security scenario and the status of pending investigations. He emphasized the necessity of professional diligence in field policing and directed officers to adopt a result-oriented approach to law enforcement. The IGP stressed the importance of quality investigation and robust evidence collection to ensure higher conviction rates in the courts. A zero-tolerance policy against narcotics was reiterated, with orders to dismantle drug syndicates and seize properties of habitual offenders. Officers were instructed to increase patrolling and strengthen the intelligence network to preempt criminal activities. IGP Jammu concluded by urging the officers to serve with integrity and maintain a citizen-centric approach while dealing with public grievances. |
