| HP Governor visits Veda Agama Samskrutha Maha Patashala, Bengaluru | | | BENGALURU, May 15: His Excellency Kavinder Gupta, Governor of Himachal Pradesh, today visited the Veda Agama Samskrutha Maha Patashala - Sri Sri Gurukulam at Ved Vignan Maha Vidya Peeth, The Art of Living International Centre, Bengaluru. The Maha Patashala, recognized by the Government of Karnataka in association with Karnataka Samskrit University (HRI & CE Board) and the Government of India, is a premier institution dedicated to the preservation and promotion of Vedic knowledge, Agama Shastra, and the Sanskrit language. During his visit, the Governor interacted with the students and scholars of the Gurukulam and expressed deep appreciation for the institution's commitment to nurturing India's ancient Vedic heritage. He commended the efforts of Sri Sri Ravi Shankar and The Art of Living Foundation in establishing and sustaining this unique centre of traditional learning. The Governor also paid obeisance at the revered Somnath Temple established within the precincts of the Gurukul campus. He offered prayers and sought the blessings of Lord Somnath, expressing reverence for the sacred spiritual atmosphere that pervades the campus and complements its mission of Vedic education. Speaking on the occasion, Governor Shri Kavinder Gupta said: "Institutions like the Veda Agama Samskrutha Maha Patashala are the living embodiment of Bharat's timeless civilizational wisdom. The presence of the Somnath Temple within the campus further enriches the spiritual environment in which our young scholars are being groomed. It is heartening to see the younger generation being trained in our sacred Vedic traditions. Such Gurukulams are vital for preserving our cultural and spiritual heritage for generations to come."
