Early Times Report KATRA, May 16: Government Degree College (GDC) Kakryal Katra, in collaboration with the Narcotics Control and Organized Crime Reduction Division (NCORD) and the NSS Unit of the college, organised an awareness rally under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (NMBA) to spread awareness against drug abuse and promote a healthy and drug-free society. The rally witnessed enthusiastic participation from students, NSS volunteers, faculty members, and staff of the college. Carrying placards and raising slogans highlighting the ill effects of substance abuse, participants marched through nearby areas to sensitize the local community about the growing menace of drugs and the importance of collective responsibility in combating addiction. The programme was organised under the guidance of the worthy principal of the college Dr. Rajni Bhagat with the objective of educating youth about the harmful consequences of drug addiction and encouraging them to adopt positive and healthy lifestyles. The participants also appealed to society to work together in creating awareness and supporting initiatives aimed at eradicating drug abuse. Speaking on the occasion, the principal of the college emphasised the significance of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan and the role of educational institutions in shaping responsible and aware citizens. She appreciated the active involvement of students and NSS volunteers in making the awareness campaign successful. The programme was organised by NCORD convenor Prof. Younis and NSS PO Dr Usha Sharma.
