Early Times Report BANI, May 16: Government Degree College (GDC) Bani under the able guidance of the Principal Prof.(Dr.) Neena Gupta, continue its campaign for admission of newly introduced Medical Stream and on drug awareness to the students of Government Higher Secondary School Lowang and GDC Bani faculty Dr Mulakh Raj, met the Principal, Sanjeevana Anand, regarding admissions in the newly introduced subjects in the Medical Stream. During the interaction, detailed discussions were held about encouraging students to take admission in the Medical Stream and making them aware of the educational opportunities available in the institution. An awareness session was also conducted for the students on the harmful effects of drug addiction. Students were sensitized about the physical, mental, social, and economic consequences of substance abuse and were motivated to stay away from drugs and adopt a healthy lifestyle. As part of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan, students and staff were administered a pledge to remain free from drugs and to spread awareness in society regarding the dangers of addiction. Furthermore, awareness posters related to the new admission campaign were pasted at different locations across Lowang Panchayat. The visit and anti-drug awareness activities were conducted successfully with active participation of Principal, faculty member and students of the institution. Worthy Principal of the college Prof. (Dr) Neena Gupta welcomed the efforts of NMBA Cell of GDC Bani under the Coordination of NMBA committee. She has admitted that examinations are going on for all semesters and as per the directions from the administrative department as well as district administration, we have to cover all stakeholders in eradicating this societal evil. Further she advised the NMBA committee members to reach every possible target group for creating awareness for this National Problem.
