POONCH, May 21: The Indian Army continues to advocate the "Beti Bachao Beti Padhao" initiative in Jammu and Kashmir through various impactful lectures and awareness programmes. A lecture was organised at Malka Mohalla, Sindrha in Poonch District, focusing on the importance of education and the rights of the girl child. The session highlighted the empowerment of girls and their significant contributions to society by sharing motivational stories of prominent Indian women and information about various government schemes aimed at supporting women.
The lecture emphasised the importance of providing equal opportunities and rights to women, not only in career development but also in personal growth. Various government initiatives under the "Beti Bachao Beti Padhao" campaign were discussed, encouraging students to strive for excellence, become self-reliant and actively contribute towards the progress of society. The session also addressed the issue of gender inequality and the ill-treatment of women in different parts of the country, stressing the need for social change and collective responsibility. |
