Early Times Report JAMMU, May 21: In compliance with the directives of the Government of India and under the guidance of Ramesh Mukhia, Managing Director, Chenab Valley Power Projects Limited (CVPPL), "Swachhta Pakhwada-2026" is being observed in Chenab Valley Power Projects Limited (CVPPL) from 16.05.2026 to 31.05.2026. The programme was formally inaugurated on 18.05.2026 by the Managing Director, who administered the Swachhta Pledge to all employees. All officers and employees of CVPPL participated in the programme and pledged to remain committed to cleanliness and to serve the nation by keeping India clean and hygienic. In continuation of the observance, on 20.05.2026, CVPPL Corporate Office, Jammu, organized an awareness and lecture session on the theme "Personal Hygiene" at Bal Bharti School, Nanak Nagar, Jammu. During the programme, Dr. Karam Vir Hans (NHPC) delivered an informative lecture highlighting the importance of personal hygiene among students. In his address, he emphasized that adopting daily hygienic practices is one of the most effective measures to safeguard oneself and society from various diseases. On this occasion, senior officials of CVPPL along with the Principal of Bal Bharti School distributed handwash and healthy beverages among the students. Thereafter, on 21.05.2026, a painting competition on the theme "Hygiene and Sanitation" was organized at Government High School, Qasim Nagar, Jammu. A total of 30 students from Classes V to X of the said school participated in the competition. CVPPL distributed stationery items and healthy beverages to the participants and encouraged the winners by awarding prizes to boost their morale. |
