Doda police delivered awareness lectures on drug abuse at Jammu University Campus Bhaderwah

DODA, May 22: As part of the ongoing Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan and Nasha Mukt JK campaign, Doda Police organised an awareness programme on drug abuse and delivered awareness lectures at Jammu University Campus Bhaderwah in collaboration with the university staff.
ASP Bhaderwah Vinod Kumar Sharma attended the programme as the Chief Guest and emphasised the importance of collective efforts in eliminating the menace of drug abuse from society. He highlighted that awareness among youth and students is essential for building a healthy, disciplined and drug-free society.
During the programme, ASP Bhaderwah and SDPO Bhaderwah delivered informative lectures on the objectives and significance of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan. The officers sensitised students about the harmful effects of drug addiction on health, education, career and society, while also highlighting the legal consequences related to narcotic substances under the provisions of the NDPS Act.
Students were encouraged to make positive choices in life, stay away from drugs and actively spread awareness among their peers and communities regarding the ill effects of substance abuse. The officers urged the youth to act as ambassadors of the anti-drug campaign in their respective areas. The awareness session witnessed active participation from nearly 200-220 students, who appreciated the initiative taken by Doda Police. On the occasion, mementoes were also presented to participants in recognition of their active involvement in the programme.
Meanwhile, Bhaderwah Campus, University of Jammu also organised a Nukkad Natak at Lal Ded Auditorium on the theme of Nasha Mukt Bharat. Through the skit, students delivered powerful messages highlighting the harmful consequences of drug abuse and the importance of leading a healthy and responsible life.
Speakers on the occasion stressed the collective responsibility of society, educational institutions, parents and youth in building a drug-free future and spreading awareness against the menace of drugs.
Doda Police reiterated its commitment to continue organising such awareness programmes across the district with active public participation under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan.
