Early Times Report
JAMMU, May 23: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Provincial President Jammu, Rattan Lal Gupta, on Saturday scoffed at those daydreaming about the fall of the Omar Abdullah-led government, saying such wishful thinkers would be better off "biting their nails" because the elected dispensation is here to serve and win the confidence of the people and will complete its full constitutional term.
Addressing the One Day Convention at Sher-e- Kashmir Bhavan, Jammu today. Rattan Lal Gupta said the government enjoys the people's mandate and remains unfazed by what he termed as "corridor conspiracies and caffeine-table calculations" of the opposition. "Those scripting premature political obituaries are merely indulging in political fiction," he remarked, asserting that the Omar government stands firm on both numbers and public confidence. The One Day Convention was convened by OBC Cell Chairman Abdul Gani Teli who highlighted the demands and problems of the OBC community regarding their separate counting of OBC in the forthcoming census process.
