Early Times Report YOL (HIMACHAL PRADESH), May 27: Yol (Himachal Pradesh): On the 46th day of the ongoing 78-day Yajna Anushthan based on the four Vedas at Ved Mandir, Yol, Yoga Acharya Swami Ram Swarup Ji guided devotees and spiritual seekers towards the teachings of Chapter 31 of the Yajurveda, explaining that the chapter contains divine knowledge about the creation of the universe. Elaborating on the subject, Swami Ji referred to an interpretation by Vyas Muni Ji of a sutra from Yog Shastra, stating that a person who lacks knowledge of creation as explained in the Vedas cannot truly be regarded as a saintly scholar. He emphasized that sincere study of all four Vedas helps remove countless doubts regarding God and the origin of creation. During the discourse, Swami Ji explained that according to the Vedas, all forms of nourishment and prosperity - including food grains, wealth, ghee, milk, wild animals, cows and other resources - have originated from the Almighty. Referring to Mantra 31/7 of the Yajurveda, he stated that the Rigveda, Yajurveda, Samaveda and Atharvaveda emerged from the Supreme God Himself for the welfare and happiness of humanity. He further said that the Vedas alone impart the true knowledge of worship of the Almighty. Expressing concern, Swami Ji noted that many people remain unaware that the four Vedas originated directly from God at the beginning of creation because they do not study the subject deeply. Swami Ram Swarup Ji remarked that human beings spend their lives understanding worldly necessities such as food, water, clothing, homes, businesses and social customs, as these are essential for survival. However, they rarely make efforts to know the Almighty who created the universe and bestowed Vedic knowledge upon humanity. He also expressed concern that despite the clear description of God in the Vedas, many people abandon Vedic teachings and engage in self-styled forms of worship. Referring to Uttarkand Doha 100 (B) of Tulsikrit Ramayan, he said that deviation from Vedic wisdom is one of the major reasons behind the sufferings faced by mankind across the world. The discourse concluded with an appeal to seekers and devotees to study the Vedas sincerely in order to gain spiritual wisdom, understand the purpose of life and establish a closer connection with the Almighty. |
