Investiture ceremony marks new chapter for student leaders at SIPS

JAMMU, May 30: The Investiture Ceremony at Stephens International Public School marked a momentous occasion as the school is celebrating its 20th year of excellence in the field of education. The event was enlightened by the presence of distinguished guests namely Justice Vinod Chatterji Koul, Sr Advocate Supreme Court of India and Former High Court Judge, Dr B N Tripathi Vice Chancellor SKAUST, and Adv Shivani Jalali Pandita Sr Adv High Court J& K. They were joined by Dr Kamal Saini, IGP (Retd.) Chairman, Mrs Satvinder Saini Director and Adv Kunal Saini, Trustee of the school.
Dr Kamal Saini extended his gratitude to the guests as well as parents for their benign presence and unwavering support to the school management. He lauded the elected student council for bearing the novel responsibility.
During the ceremony, Dr Manjari Sehgal, Principal formally inducted the newly elected Student Council members into their roles. The students, comprising the Head Boy, Head Girl, Vice Head Boy, Vice Head Girl, Discipline Captain, Sports Captain, Cultural Captain as well as House Prefects pledged to uphold the values and principles of the institution.
The investiture ritual was symbolized by the presentation of badges and sashes to the student leaders by the dignitaries, signifying their new responsibilities and authority. The ceremony was interspersed with captivating performances, including Shiv Tandav and motivational dance showcasing the artistic prowess of the students.
Advocate Kunal Saini, Trustee of the school, expressed his gratitude to the guests, parents and attendees for gracing the occasion. He encouraged the students to set goals and work assiduously towards achieving them, thereby making a positive impact in society.
Later an open house discussion was initiated to make the students aware of the vitality of leadership. Students optimized the interaction with their queries which were aptly addressed by the learned guests.
Addressing the gathering Dr Tripathi hailed the school management for honing the students for global leadership. "Be optimistic to the criticism and the future is yours. Take the lead and shine"stated Justice Vinod Chatterji Koul.Adv Shivani too opined that the young learners have an immeasurable potential, the key lies in channelizing their energy.
