SP City North Zone Jammu accorded warm farewell to retiring police officers

JAMMU, May 30: City Police North Zone Jammu today accorded a warm and heartfelt farewell to Shri G.C. Thapa, Chowki Officer, Police Post Hari Market, and Shri Muzaffar Shah, Chowki Officer, Police Post Gujjar Nagar, on the occasion of their superannuation from active police service after rendering long, dedicated and distinguished service in the Jammu & Kashmir Police.
A farewell function was organized in their honour, wherein senior police officers, members of the Bazar Association and prominent members of civil society participated and extended their best wishes to the retiring officers.
The function was attended by SP City North Jammu Sh Vivek Shekhar, SDPO City North Vikram Bhau, SHO Police Station City Jammu, SHO Bus Stand, SHO PEER MITHA, SHO Nowabad and all IC PP'S Hari Market and PP Gujjar Nagar. Besides officers and officials of SP City North Zone, Members of the Bazar Association and respected citizens from civil society were also present on the occasion.
Officers Laud Dedicated Service
While addressing the gathering, the officers highly appreciated the sincere, professional and exemplary services rendered by Shri G.C. Thapa and Shri Muzaffar Shah during their long and successful careers in the police department. They highlighted the officers' unwavering commitment towards maintaining law and order, ensuring public safety and strengthening police-public relations in their respective jurisdictions.
The speakers noted that both officers discharged their duties with utmost dedication, integrity and professionalism, earning the trust and respect of their colleagues as well as the general public.
Civil Society Appreciates Contributions
Members of the Bazar Association and civil society also appreciated the valuable contributions made by both officers in maintaining peace, ensuring public safety and extending prompt assistance to the people. They conveyed their gratitude for the officers' services and wished them a healthy, peaceful and prosperous retired life.
Retiring Officers Express Gratitude
On the occasion, G.C. Thapa and Muzaffar Shah expressed their heartfelt gratitude to senior officers, colleagues, members of the Bazar Association and civil society for the support, cooperation and encouragement extended to them throughout their service careers. They thanked everyone for making their retirement memorable and expressed pride in having served the people of Jammu.
The farewell function concluded with the presentation of mementos as a token of appreciation and recognition of their dedicated services. Warm wishes were extended to both officers for a happy, healthy and fulfilling post-retirement life.
