Early Times Report JAMMU, May 30: SSP Jammu, Joginder Singh, today felicitated retiring officers of Jammu & Kashmir Police during a ceremony organized at District Police Lines (DPL) Jammu to honour their dedicated and distinguished service to the department. During the ceremony, 80 persons from the retired Police officer's association- Non Gazetted Officer's Welfare association were also present, and shared their experiences Speaking on the occasion, SSP Jammu appreciated the valuable contributions made by the retiring officers during their long and committed careers in the police force. He remarked that retired police personnel continue to be a force multiplier for the department and remain an integral part of the extended Jammu & Kashmir Police family. Joginder Singh highlighted that the experience, knowledge and dedication of retired officers serve as a source of inspiration for serving personnel and contribute significantly to strengthening the bond within the police fraternity. Members and Post holders from Retired Police Officer's association- Non Gazetted Officer's Welfare association-also spoke on the occassion, and took the opportunity to express certain points of concern such as issues in medical treatment of retired officers, and their reduced participation in outreach events organised by the police. SSP Jammu heard all these concerns and assured action towards them to the maximum possible extent. Notably, he assured that a designated police personnel shall be deputed for all retired officers in the police hospital for better coordination and assistance.
