PCPG meeting held with members of Merchant Welfare Association

JAMMU, June 2: A Police Community Partnership Group (PCPG) meeting was held at Miran Sahib with members of the Merchant Welfare Association (MWA) to strengthen police-public cooperation and discuss issues concerning public safety and social welfare.
The meeting was attended by SP Headquarters Jammu and SHO Police Station Miran Sahib, along with prominent members of the Merchant Welfare Association.
During the interaction, members of the MWA appreciated the sustained efforts of Jammu Police in taking strict action against drug peddlers and anti-social elements operating in the area.
They lauded the proactive measures being undertaken by the police to curb the menace of drug abuse and maintain law and order. The members also assured their full cooperation and support to the police in identifying and reporting drug peddlers and other criminal elements.
Speaking on the occasion, SP Headquarters Jammu and SHO Miran Sahib emphasized the collective responsibility of society in protecting the younger generation from the dangers of substance abuse. They urged parents and guardians to maintain close communication with their children, understand their concerns, and build friendly relationships with them so that they do not fall prey to drug addiction or other harmful influences.
The officers further stressed the importance of community participation in the fight against drugs and appealed to the public to promptly share any information regarding drug trafficking or suspicious activities with the police.
The meeting concluded with a pledge by all participants to work together for creating a safer, healthier, and drug-free society.
