KATHUA, June 5: 19 JKAP IR organized World Plantation Drive 2026 in the Unit premises with great enthusiasm and commitment towards environmental conservation.
As part of the drive, Atul Sharma - JKPS, Commandant 19 JKAP IR and personnel of the Battalion actively participated in the plantation programme and planted 200 saplings of native fruit/tree species in and around unit premises. The initiative was undertaken to promote environmental sustainability, enhance green cover, and create awareness about the importance of preserving nature for future generations.
Speaking on the occasion, the Commandant 19 JKAP IR emphasized the significance of tree plantation in maintaining ecological balance and mitigating the adverse effects of climate change. The personnel were encouraged to continue contributing towards environmental protection through adopting atleast 05 trees and nurture them also spread awareness amongst their families/friends and neighbors to adopt trees and practice eco friendly habits . |
