Volunteers watered saplings affected by the prolonged dry spell and prepared proper basins around the plants to ensure better water retention and healthy growth. A cleanliness campaign was also conducted in the newly developed park and playground, where weeds, unwanted grass and waste material were removed to maintain a clean and healthy environment. The Society reiterated its commitment towards protecting and nurturing the green cover developed at Apnavan over the years. Expressing concern over increasing pollution levels, the Society highlighted that the average Air Quality Index (AQI) during March 2026 remained between 100 and 150, which is a matter of concern for public health and the environment. The volunteers appealed to the public to plant more trees, protect existing greenery and keep their surroundings neat and clean. On the occasion, participants pledged to work actively for environmental conservation and to spread awareness about the importance of a clean, green and pollution-free environment for future generations. |
