| One day awareness camp organised by Civil Defence, Jammu | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, June 5: One Day Civil Defence awareness camp was organised by Civil Defence Jammu at Border Memorial Presentation Convent Higher Secondary School Makwal, Jammu, under the supervision of Zia-Ul-Haq-Dy.SP, Deputy Controller, Civil Defence, Jammu. The programme was conducted with the coordination of, Paramjit Kumar Chief Warden Civil Defence, Jammu R. Vijay Magotra, Dy. Chief Warden and Sector Warden Raj Kumar. During the programme, around 115 students and staff members participated enthusiastically. The participants were imparted awareness and practical knowledge regarding First Aid, Fire Fighting, CPR, and other life saving techniques to be adopted during emergency and disaster situations. The students were also sensitized about the harmful effects of drug addiction under the ongoing Nasha Mukt J&K Campaign. A live demonstration was also conducted by the Civil Defence team during the programme. Rakesh Sharma, Chairman of the institution, appreciated the efforts by Civil Defence Jammu in organising the awareness programme. Yash Paul Principal of the institution also attended the programme and. Paramjit Kumar Chief Warden and R. Vijay Magotra Dy. Chief Warden, delivered regarding the role of Civil Defence wardens during emergencies and disaster situations such as natural disasters, fires, industrial accidents, and other crisis situations as first responders. |
