Early Times Report JAMMU, June 6: In a move aimed at expanding access to specialized healthcare services, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Narayana Multispeciality Clinic, Jammu, on Saturday launched six new specialty clinics and announced free consultations in all newly launched services throughout the month of June 2026. The newly introduced services include the Anemia Clinic by Dr. Deepika Gupta, Comprehensive Dental Care Department by Dr. Arjun Malhotra, Dr. Tanushree Sharma and Dr. Sania, Dermatology OPD by Dr. Jimmy Rajput, Obesity Clinic by Dr. Rahul Khajuria, Brain & Spine Clinic by Dr. Khushwant Singh and Pediatrics OPD by Dr. Sanjeet Singh. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Yashpal Sharma, Executive Director, SMVD Institute of Medical Excellence (SMVDIME), said that the initiative has been undertaken to bring specialist healthcare services closer to the people of Jammu and surrounding areas. He said that while the Jammu clinic continues to expand its specialty offerings, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Narayana Superspeciality Hospital, Katra, is already providing world-class treatment in advanced specialties such as Neurosurgery, Hematology (Blood Disorders), Hepatology (Liver Diseases), Cardiology, Oncology and other super-specialty disciplines. Dr. Sharma emphasized that patients from Jammu & Kashmir need not travel outside the Union Territory for advanced treatment, as high-quality medical expertise and state-of-the-art facilities are now available within the region. To mark the launch, free consultations in all newly launched clinics will be available throughout June 2026 at the Jammu clinic. In addition, free CBC testing will be offered to the first 50 girls and women attending the Anemia Clinic launch activity, while free oral prophylaxis (scaling) will be provided to the first 20 patients visiting the Dental Department on the launch day. Hospital officials stated that the launch of these specialty services is expected to further strengthen access to quality healthcare and provide patients with timely specialist consultations closer to home. |
