JAMMU, June 16: FICCI FLO Jammu, Kashmir & Ladakh (JKL) has been honoured with the prestigious Jagran Achievers Award for its pioneering contribution to women's empowerment during the 2025-2026 term. The award was received by Aarti Chowdhary, Chairperson, FICCI FLO Jammu, Kashmir & Ladakh, on behalf of the chapter at a distinguished ceremony held in Shanghai. The event was attended by eminent dignitaries, including Aditya Prabhu Desai, representing the Consulate General of India, Shanghai. The award recognizes the chapter's impactful efforts in advancing women's empowerment across Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh through initiatives focused on entrepreneurship, skill development, financial inclusion, leadership building, and grassroots engagement. During the 2025-2026 term, FICCI FLO JKL expanded its outreach and strengthened opportunities for women to become economically independent and socially empowered.
Under the leadership of Aarti Chowdhary, the chapter championed programmes that supported women entrepreneurs, strengthened Self-Help Groups, and created platforms for learning, mentorship, and sustainable growth. The recognition acknowledges not only the outcomes of these initiatives but also the vision and commitment that guided them.
The award carries added significance as it comes during a term in which Chowdhary demonstrated exceptional resilience and leadership while navigating personal health challenges. Receiving the award, Aarti Chowdhary said, "This honour belongs to every member of FICCI FLO Jammu, Kashmir & Ladakh and to the remarkable women whose determination and achievements inspire our work every day. It is a recognition of our collective commitment to creating opportunities, fostering self-reliance, and enabling women to realise their full potential. I am deeply grateful for this recognition and dedicate it to the women of our region who continue to lead change with courage and conviction."
Chowdhary expressed her gratitude to the members of FICCI FLO JKL, its partners, stakeholders, and supporters whose collective efforts have contributed to advancing the cause of women's empowerment and inclusive development across the region.
