In the present times, social media has begun playing a significant role in contributing to the overall well-being of young teenager and adult. Since the advent of social media, it’s technology and capability to entice the mind of the teenagers and young adults has grown exponentially through numerous podcasts and informative videos which shows direct impact on their mind. With the average time of social media consumption growing, the effect of social media on young generation is even greater. While what most people do not realise is that social media can ruining the mind of the teenagers and young adults, it even cause lack of concentration and can inculcate many bad habits and not only with the increase in the average time of social media increase it also increase the cause of social anxiety and weak mental health . There are many other problems that one can associate with social media. Just recently, there was a news about a person who got scammed by scammers through online shopping which he was doing using some social media apps and not from authorised websites. The idea that such stunts are performed by verified influencers and many other big celebrities makes young generation and adults to copy their favourites without knowing the truth about the same. The vulnerable young minds finds these stunts thrilling, exciting and adventurous which leads them to dangers and serious accidents. Even though warnings regarding these stunts are displayed, but the font size is so small that no one seems to notice them. Parents and people can sensitise the students and adults regarding the same so that the children, teenage and adults knows the pros and cons of the same . Only then we can reap the benefits of social media. |
