JKReTTF hails Education Minister for Clarification on Retirement Benefits Issue

JAMMU, June 20: Jammu & Kashmir Rehbar-e-Taleem Teachers Forum (JKReTTF) has expressed its heartfelt gratitude to Hon'ble Minister for School Education, Ms. Sakina Itoo, and commissioner /Secretary, School Education Department Shri Ram Niwas Sharma (IAS), for issuing a timely clarification on the issue concerning the five-year pensionary benefits of teachers appointed under the Rehbar-e-Taleem (ReT) Scheme.
In a statement issued here, Forum Chief Spokesperson Muzafar Ahmad Wani said that the clarification has removed the uncertainty and confusion that had arisen due to an unnecessary query, bringing immense relief to thousands of ReT teachers across Jammu and Kashmir.
Wani said that the Forum had consistently maintained that the rules governing the matter were clear and that the legitimate pensionary rights of ReT teachers were fully protected under the existing provisions.
He added that the Forum Chairman Farooq Ahmed Tantray has said that the department's clarification has vindicated the stand taken by JKReTTF from the very beginning and has safeguarded the interests of the teaching fraternity.
The Forum Chief Spokesperson conveyed the sincere gratitude of the Forum Chairman FA Tantray and the entire JKReTTF leadership to Education Minister Sakina Itoo and the Commissioner/Secretary, School Education Department, for their timely intervention, support, and commitment towards ensuring justice for teachers.
He stated that the decision has reaffirmed the faith of teachers in the administrative system and demonstrated the government's commitment to addressing genuine concerns in accordance with established rules and procedures.
Forum chairman further appreciated all those officers and stakeholders who played a constructive role in resolving the issue and ensuring that the genuine concerns of teachers were addressed without further delay.
